Grandparents play an awesome role in the lives of their grandchildren. Jenna Visingardi thinks her Mamaw, Ms. Charlene Adair, definitely fits in the awesome category. Announcement has been made that Jenna’s essay about “Why My Grandparent Should be the AARP Kentucky Grandparent of the Year?” has been selected as the First District Winner. This is the first time Trigg County Public Schools has had a district winner. Jenna’s essay has been forwarded to state competition where we believe they will think Mamaw is pretty special too. Jenna is a 5th grade student in Ms. Amy Carneyhan’s class at Trigg County Intermediate School. Congratulations Jenna; we are very proud of you and to all the 5th grade students who knew their grandparents were awesome too. Grandparents, we are most appreciative of the support you give to our students in Trigg County Public Schools.
