I am from Princeton, Kentucky. I graduated from Caldwell County High School in 1987. I joined the Kentucky Army National Guard in December 1986. A couple weeks after graduating from high school I went to basic training and advance individual training (MP school) at Fort McClellan, Alabama. In April 1988, I went from the National Guard to active duty and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I was stationed at Fort Campbell twice; Nuremberg, Germany; Fort Lee, VA; Yongsan, Korea twice; Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In November 1994, I became a Special Agent with the US Army Criminal Investigation Command. In November 2009, I retired from the Army. I earned my teaching certificate through the Troops to Teachers program. From August 2009 to June 2012, I taught 9th grade Social Studies at Christian County High School in Hopkinsville. In July 2012, I joined the staff at Trigg County Middle School and have taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. I earned my Master's Degree and EdS in School Counseling with Murray State University.
