Imagination Library
Any child from birth to age five who is a resident of Trigg County is eligible to receive a book each month free.

Studies show that when children read regularly before kindergarten their vocabulary can reach 20,000 words before age 5. A child who hasn't had this experience, normally exhibits a vocabulary of about 3,000 words, We as a community must level this playing field.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, at a cost locally of $30 per child annually, provides one book each month to children in Trigg County from birth to age 5 whose parents register to receive them.  These sturdy, colorful, age appropriate books are delivered directly to the child.  Each book is selected for the developmental benefits it brings—and for the fun.

The Trigg County Public Schools Educational Foundation is partnering with the Cadiz Rotary Club, Trigg County School System, United States Postal Service, and a growing list of organizations and agencies throughout Trigg County to supply these books using the services of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.  Over 600 children are currently enrolled; over 80% of the eligible children in Trigg county.

Parents or guardians can enroll their child (or children) under five online or by submitting a short registration form to the Trigg County Education Foundation. There is no charge required or expected for enrollment.
